Onward Israel-Yalla

These trips are generously subsidized by Jewish Agency and UJA Federation of Greater Toronto, and are offering participants (18-30) the opportunity to go to Israel this summer on one of three tracks.

1 – Internship in Bat Yam-Tel Aviv: June 18-August 11

Build your resume and acquire valuable global experience with professional internships in Israel’s strong private sector, in fields such as business, technology, industry, finance, marketing and sales. Internships are constructed specifically based on your skills, interests and future plans. Outside of your placement, spend quality time with Israeli peers and enjoy the bustling night life of Tel Aviv.

2 – Toronto Onward Israel Service Learning in Bat Yam: June 4-July 15

Gain hands-on experience meeting real needs while empowering local residents through this six-week Jewish service-learning program in Bat Yam. Through challenging volunteering opportunities and meaningful interactions with Israeli peers, make a demonstrable, positive impact on the Bat Yam community. Service work is complemented by learning that will deepen your understanding of the context of your work and allow you to think about wider implications after returning home.

3 – Toronto Onward Israel Academic Program in Eilat: Dates to be confirmed (Mid July-mid August)

Learn side by side with Israeli students in a five -week academic program (with the possibility of getting academic credit ) at Ben Gurion University’s Eilat campus. Enhance your studies through hands-on exploration of the many sides of life in Israel’s southernmost city and the surrounding region- volunteer opportunities, hikes and nature experiences, night life, water sports and exclusive meetings with local leaders.

Cost for each program: $400 (covers full board – 3 meals a day, lodging, insurance, transportation and program costs); participants arrange their own flights and are responsible for arriving in Israel for the beginning of the program.

Participants are welcome to extend their birthright trip and join this experience afterwards.
